Disease Modifying Therapies Co-ordinator

Disease Modifying Therapies (DMT) Co-ordinator

Working Days: Monday - Friday (6 hours per day, 30 hours per week)

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles as these positions fall below the salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

About the Role

The role of DMT Co-ordinator involves providing essential administrative support to the North Midlands Regional Multiple Sclerosis Team. The successful candidate will:

  • Offer administrative waiting list management for the specialty, adherence to the Patient Access Policy.
  • Communicate appointment and admission details to patients and carers.
  • Type correspondence as required.
  • Provide backup administrative and clerical support for other members of the Neurosciences Team as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will:

  • Assist medical and nursing colleagues with:
    • Healthcare workload coordination
    • Managing patient/carer appointment and admissions communications
  • Ensure compliance with the Patient Access Policy and Divisional requirements, especially around inpatient waiting lists.
  • Type ordering and transcribe meeting minutes as needed.
  • Liaise with members of the Neurology Administration Team to cover workloads as required.
