We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Dispensary Assistant to join our team at Scarsdale, Pride Park on a full-time basis.

Pride Veterinary Centre offers a range of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Our diagnostics and treatments are second to none and we have many highly trained and experienced colleagues to ensure that our patients receive the very best treatment. We strive to deliver world-class patient care and our fantastic facilities provide a superb care environment, including 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres, full advanced imaging suite, 3 ultrasound rooms, an endoscopy suite, hydrotherapy pool and treadmills and dedicated chemo & radio-iodine treatment rooms define the setting.

How You’ll Make a Difference

The team

The Dispensary Team at Pride Park is small and close knit and is part of the wider client care team. Our Dispensary Assistant will work across a number of internal teams and have extensive contact with our clients. Being comfortable engaging with clients and other teams is therefore essential.

We are looking for a competent Dispensary Assistant who is happy to be a professional all-rounder with the flexibility to work within a busy dispensary whilst also helping with client queries both in person and over the phone. Previous working experience within a dispensing pharmacy would be an asset but not essential if your other qualities include excellent client care skills. The responsibilities are varied depending on the requirements of any day, so superb attention to detail is required. There will be responsibilities to maintain sufficient stock levels of medications and other items both physically and by electronic means. Additionally, “use by” dates on products need to be closely checked. This role will include some evenings and weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, flexibility is key to help with holiday and sickness cover.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time permanent role working various shifts (40 hours per week).
