Dispenser – Pharmacy Team (Store-Based Role)

Hourly Rate: £13.92 – £16.64 (varied across locations in London)


About the Role

As a Dispenser within one of our stores, you’ll join our dedicated pharmacy team, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy and healthcare services.

Your day-to-day will focus on building trustful relationships with patients, ensuring they receive accurate guidance, healthcare advice, and prescription support. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers
  • Safely dispensing prescriptions, including labelling, collection, and endorsements
  • Collaborating with other in-store healthcare professionals
  • Delivering expert medicines advice to support informed health decisions

This is a store-based role within the UK. Only applicants within the UK with the right to work can be considered, and relevant qualifications must be evidenced.


Key Responsibilities

Core Dispensing Duties

  • Accurately dispense, label, and order medicines in line with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliancy with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe and legal drug supply.
  • Handle prescription systems, including repeats, adherence support, and waste reduction.

Patient Care & Support

  • Provide clear, compassionate medicine advice to patients, referring complex queries to the pharmacist where appropriate.
  • Help patients self-manage prescriptions effectively via reliable repeat systems.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with healthcare colleagues to manage pharmacy services.
  • Stay updated on pharmacy innovations and operational best practices.

Career Development

Requirements

Essential

  • Hold or be nearing completion of the NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor (or equivalent).
  • Currently enrolled or graduated from the first year of an MPharm programme.
  • Legally eligible for UK work (no Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship available).

Preferred

  • Community pharmacy experience.
