Dispenser
Dispenser Role – Community Pharmacy Locations in London
Salary range: £13.92 to £16.64 per hour
About the Role
As a Dispenser in one of Boots’ community pharmacies, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacist and wider healthcare team. Your responsibilities include safely and efficiently handling prescriptions, assisting with pharmacy services, and delivering expert patient advice—helping people improve their health every day.
This is a store-based role in the UK. Remote applications will not be considered, and candidates outside the UK will only be progressed if they can provide evidence of their British English qualifications and right to work.
Key Responsibilities

Prescription Dispensary
- Safely dispense prescriptions, including ordering, label preparation, collection, and endorsement.
- Work alongside the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to manage pharmacy services effectively.

Patient Engagement & Advice
- Build strong relationships with patients by listening to their needs and providing informed health guidance.
- Offer guidance on medicines while escalating queries to the pharmacist as needed.
- Support patients in managing their prescriptions—developing uptake routes, ensuring reliable repeats, and minimising waste.

Requirements
Essential:
- A completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification (NVQ2) or being in your first year of an MPharm degree with progression evidence.
- Valid UK Right to Work status. (Note: This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship.)
Desirable:
- Prior experience within community pharmacy.
Employment Checks:
- Selected candidates will undergo Pre-employment checks, including DBS/PVG/Access NI, depending on location.
