About The Opportunity
As a Dispenser in one of our UK pharmacy stores, you’ll play a vital role in the pharmacy team, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and efficient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong patient relationships through active listening and understanding their needs
- Providing trusted pharmacy and healthcare services, from greeting customers to dispensing prescriptions
- Offering tailored medicines advice to help patients make informed health decisions
- Ensuring safe supply and storage of prescriptions (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection)
- Collaborating with the team to manage pharmacy services and maintain operational standards
📍 This role is store-based in the UK only (remote applicants will not be considered). International candidates must provide confirmed UK qualifications and right-to-work documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Prescription Dispensing:
- Adhere to UK pharmacy regulations (e.g., proper ordering, labelling, and collection)
- Verify orders for safety and compliance

Patient Advisory Support:
- Provide medicines education and adherence guidance (e.g., repeat systems, ineffective prescriptions)
- Escalate critical queries to the pharmacist as needed

Service Delivery Enhancement:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to uphold legal and safe prescribing
- Integrate with newer pharmacy technologies to improve efficiency (e.g., digital prescribing tools)

Continuous Learning:
- Attend regular healthcare training to upskill in evolving treatments/regulations
- Develop into career opportunities, including: ▶ Training as a Pharmacy Technician ▶ Progressing to store leadership roles
Requirements
Essential:
✅ Completion of an equivalent qualification to:
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Advisor
- First year (minimum) of an MPharm degree (British curriculum)
✅ Valid right-to-work documentation (Visa sponsorship is not available)
NVQ Path: If you’re currently studying, progress to full certification is required.
Desirable:
💡 Previous community pharmacy experience would be an asset.
