Dispenser

Dispenser – Pharmacy Role (£13.92 to £16.64 /hour)

The hourly rate for this role varies between £13.92 and £16.64, depending on the selected location in London.


About the Opportunity

As a Dispenser working in one of our London stores, you will be a key member of the pharmacy team, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy services.

Working within the healthcare department, your role will include:

  • Building strong relationships with patients by listening and tailoring care to their needs
  • Greeting customers and ensuring smooth dispensing of prescriptions
  • Providing medicines advice, tailored health and wellness guidance to support informed decisions
  • Ensuring the safe supply and sale of medicines while promoting adherence and reducing waste

This is an in-store role only—remote applications will not be considered, and overseas candidates must hold UK qualifications with a confirmed right to work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription Dispensing: Ordering, labelling, and safely supplying medicines, including:
    • Endorsing and collecting prescriptions in compliance with regulations
    • Enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure legal and safe practice
  • Patient Support: Offering one-on-one care and advice, or referring complex queries to the pharmacist
  • Team Collaboration: Working with other pharmacy staff to manage services efficiently
  • Credit Safety & Compliance: Adhering to store procedures and updating knowledge on innovations and systems to improve patient safety
  • Process Improvement: Developing traditional dispensing methods with emerging technology to free up more time for patient-facing roles

Requirements

Essential

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
  • OR currently enrolled in, and having completed, the first year of an MPharm degree
  • Valid UK Right to Work—this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in community pharmacy

Additional Pre-employment Considerations

  • Depending on location, you may need to submit:
    • A DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Service)
    • A PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) check (for Scotland)
    • An Access NI check (Northern Ireland)
