Dispenser
Shop Dispenser – Community Pharmacy (Hourly Rate: £13.92–£16.64 in London)
About The Opportunity
As a Dispenser within one of our Boots Pharmacy stores, you’ll be a key member of our healthcare team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients.
Your role will include:
- Building strong relationships with patients by actively listening and addressing their healthcare needs.
- Greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
- Providing tailored advice to assist patients in making informed decisions about their health, wellness, and medicine management.
- Contributing to a customer-focused environment where every interaction makes a positive difference.
This is a ** UK-only** role, and remote or international applicants will not progress unless eligible for UK work rights and qualified.
Key Responsibilities

Prescription Dispensing & Medicines Safety
- Dispense prescriptions ensuring accurate ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to guarantee safe, legal, and regulated pharmacy services.

Patient Care & Healthcare Support
- Provide guidance on medicines, refer criticalPatient queries to the Pharmacist, and foster medication adherence to improve patient health outcomes.
- Manage prescription repeats and educate patients on optimising their medicine routines to reduce waste.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Completion of a Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
- Current and valid UK right to work (this role does not offer sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas).
Desirable (but not mandatory)
- Experience working in community pharmacy environments.
