Dispenser
Dispenser – London Pharmacy Team
Pay: £13.92 – £16.64 per hour (per selected London locations)
About The Opportunity
As a Dispenser working within one of our Boots UK stores, you’ll play a key role in our pharmacy team, assisting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy services.
Your tasks will include:
- Building patient relationships by actively listening to their needs
- Greeting customers and supporting them with:
- Dispensing prescriptions (ordering, labelling, endorsing, collection)
- Ensuring safe medicine sale
- Providing advice and guidance on health/wellness using your healthcare expertise
- Enhancing patient adherence and reducing medicine waste
This is a store-based role only (remote applicants will not be considered); UK residency and right to work within the UK (no sponsorship available) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescription dispensing (follow SOPs for safety and compliance)
- Supporting team members in managing pharmacy services
- Providing patient care advice and escalating queries to pharmacists when needed
- Staying updated on store innovations and operational processes
- Collaborating with evolving pharmacy tech to streamline dispensing while improving patient interaction
- Maintaining reliable prescription repeat systems to support effectual medicine management

Training is provided for ongoing professional development, with routes to progress into Pharmacy Technician training or a store leadership role.
Requirements
Essential:
- Have completed NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor (or equivalent) or
- Be currently studying the first year of an MPharm
Non-negotiable:
- Valid UK right to work status
Recommended/Preferred:
- Experience in community pharmacy
Pre-employment Requirements: Successful candidates will complete either:
- DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)
- PVG (Scotland’s Disclosure & Barring Service)
- Access NI check (Northern Ireland)
