Dispenser – Pharmacy Role | Selected Locations in London
Hourly rate: £13.92 - £16.64 per hour (depending on location)
About The Opportunity
As a Dispenser within one of our Boots stores, you’ll be a key member of the pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals in delivering safe and efficient healthcare services.
Your role will involve:
- Building strong relationships with patients by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Prescription dispensing and ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
- Greeting customers, screening and dispensing prescriptions, and endorsing medicines.
- Providing tailored healthcare advice using your expertise to empower patients in making informed wellness decisions.
This is a store-based role in the UK. Remote applications are not considered and international candidates must have current UK qualifications and right-to-work status.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Accurately dispense prescriptions, including:
- Ordering, labelling, and endorsing medicines.
- Managing prescription collections and repeats.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and healthcare teams to:
- Deliver pharmacy services safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for legal compliance.
- Provide patient-facing care and guidance, including:
- Explaining medication use, side effects, and adherence support.
- Referring complex queries to the senior pharmacist.
- Stay updated on pharmacy innovations and operational processes to enhance patient safety.

What You’ll Need
Essential Requirements
- Completed or studying towards:
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Advisor (or equivalent) or
- First year of an MPharm degree (if training remains as part of your employment).
- Valid UK right-to-work status (no Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship available).
Preferred Experience
- Experience in community pharmacy (beneficial but not mandatory).
