Dispenser
Pharmacy Dispenser – London
£13.92–£16.64 per hour across selected locations within London.
About the Role
As a Dispenser in one of our pharmacy stores, you’ll serve as a key team member, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, reliable and effective care. Your role will focus on:
- Building trusting relationships with patients to understand and address their health needs
- Handling a wide range of tasks, from greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and ensuring medicines are sold properly, to providing clear, science-backed advice
- Making a real, everyday difference in people’s wellbeing
This position is based exclusively in-store within the UK. Only applicants with the right to work in the UK for an indefinite period and relevant qualifications may apply.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Advice
- Dispense prescriptions following strict safety protocols (including ordering, labelling, endorsing and managing collection).
- Offer healthcare advice to customers, referring complex queries to the pharmacist where needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure a seamless pharmacy service.
Compliance & Efficiency
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee legally compliant and medically safe dispensing.
- Keep up with new pharmacy systems and innovations to enhance safety and workflow.

Support Patients
- Help customers manage their prescriptions effectively, including reliable repeats and adherence to improve outcomes.
- Reduce medicine waste and errors by promoting best practices.

Requirements
Essential
- Completed a Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 (or equivalent)—or in the first year of (or qualified as) an MPharm (Master of Pharmacy) degree.
- Valid UK Right to Work confirmation.
- Note: This role is not visa-sponsored.
Preferred
- Experience working in community pharmacy.
