Dispenser – Pharmacy Role (Hourly Rate: £13.92–£16.64 depending on location)
About The Opportunity
As a Dispenser in one of our pharmacy stores, you’ll be a key team member, working alongside pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient pharmacy and healthcare services.
Key Duties
- Build strong patient relationships by listening and addressing their healthcare needs.
- Prescription dispensing, including:
- Ordering, labelling, and safely distributing medicines
- Endorsing and managing prescription collections
- Ensuring legal compliance within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Provide medicine-related advice to patients, including dose management, adherence support, and referral to the pharmacist when needed.
- Embrace technology advancements in store to streamline processes while prioritising patient safety and quick turnaround.
- Engage in regular training to expand your healthcare knowledge and career growth (opportunities include Pharmacy Technician training or leadership roles).
This is a UK-based role only. Remote candidates or those without valid UK right-to-work status will not be considered unless exceptions are confirmed via relevant qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Dispensing & Patient Care:
- Adhere to safety protocols for medicine ordering, labelling, and dispensing.
- Work with healthcare teams to ensure pharmacy services are delivered efficiently.
- Safely handle over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medicines while addressing customer queries.
- Manage prescription repeats and promote medicine adherence to reduce waste.

Requirements
Essential
- Completed NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Advisor (or equivalent) OR are enrolled in the first year of an MPharm university degree.
- Full valid UK right-to-work status (this role does not offer Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship).
Preferred
- Experience in community pharmacy environments.
