Dispenser (Pharmacy) – Retail Location(s) within London
Job Summary
The hourly rate for this role is £13.92 – £16.64 depending on location within London.
Location: Store-based within the UK – remote applications will not be considered. Right to work in the UK must be confirmed and evidenced.
About the Opportunity
As a Dispenser in one of our stores, you’ll be a vital member of the pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals in delivering safe and efficient healthcare services.
Your role involves:
- Building strong relationships with patients by listening, understanding needs, and providing personalised care.
- Dispensing prescriptions, ensuring safe medication supply, and advising customers on health and wellness to empower informed decisions.
- Contributing to a patient-centric environment where medication management is streamlined, adherence is encouraged, and waste is reduced.
This is a full-time role based in-store in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Prescription dispensing:
- Order, label, dispense, endorse, and collect prescriptions while maintaining rigorous safety and compliance standards.
- Pharmacy team collaboration:
- Assist healthcare professionals in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
- Patient advice & referrals:
- Provide healthcare guidance on medicines and refer complex queries to the pharmacist as needed.
- SOP adherence:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure legal and safe prescription handling.
- Innovation & compliance:
- Stay updated with new pharmacy systems and operational improvements.
- Enhanced patient support:
- Help patients manage prescriptions effectively, push for adherence, and minimise medication waste.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Completed NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Pharmacy Advisory/Assisting or
- Currently enrolled on the first year of an MPharm degree (with commitment to completing the qualification later).
- Valid UK right to work—this role does not qualify for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Visa.
Desired Skills
- Experience in community pharmacy (a strong advantage).
