Dispenser – Pharmacy Team Role (Store-Based)

Hourly rate: £13.92–£16.64 (across selected locations within London)

About The Opportunity

As a Dispenser within one of our Boots stores, you’ll play a key role in our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare services.

In this position, you’ll:

  • Build strong relationships with patients by listening, understanding their needs, and offering personalised care.
  • Provide iPhone or medication advice, while ensuring the safe supply and sale of medicines.
  • Handle prescription dispensing, including:
    • Ordering medicines
    • Labelling and dispensing
    • Administering prescriptions
    • Supporting reliable repeats to promote medication adherence
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals in your store to manage and enhance pharmacy services.

Location Requirement:

  • This is a store-based role. Remote applications are not accepted, and applicants outside the UK will only be considered if they possess UK qualifications and the right to work.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Dispense prescriptions safely and efficiently, following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services across your store.
  • Provide care and advice on medicines, referring complex queries to the pharmacist as needed.
  • Stay updated with new technologies (e.g. digital systems) to improve traditional dispensing processes and enhance patient safety.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and operational processes, reducing medicine waste while promoting adherence.
  • Deliver patient-focused solutions—whether it’s procurements, condom referrals, or supporting repeat treatments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
