Pharmacy Dispenser – UK Store Role

Hourly Rate: £13.92 – £16.64 (London locations)


About The Opportunity

Join the Dispenser team at our UK pharmacy stores and play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe healthcare to patients.

  • Support the pharmacist and multi-disciplinary pharmacy team
  • Build strong patient relationships by listening, understanding, and addressing their healthcare needs
  • Handle prescription dispensing from ordering to collection, including:
    • Labelling, endorsing, and managing repeats
    • Ensuring medicine safety and adherence within legal/safety frameworks
  • Provide patient advice using your healthcare knowledge to guide informed decisions

This is an in-store, full-time position (remote or international applicants not considered unless fully qualified and eligible to work in the UK). Requirements include proven UK qualifications and valid right-to-work status.


Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Safely dispense prescriptions, including:
    • Ordering, labelling, and distributing medicines
    • Cross-checking accuracy against doctor’s instructions
    • Assisting with complex or repeat prescriptions
  • Support the care team with:
    • Managing daily pharmacy services alongside other healthcare professionals
    • Ensuring compliance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
    • Recording and reporting discrepancies or anomalies
  • Deliver patient-centred advice on:
    • Drug information, usage, and side effects
    • Referring critical queries to the pharmacist
    • Promoting medication adherence and waste reduction
  • Embrace evolving tech solutions to:
    • Streamline dispensing processes for greater safety and efficiency
    • Reduce administrative workloads to enhance patient interaction
    • Stay updated on store innovations via regular training sessions

What You’ll Need

Essential Requirements

✅ Completed NVQ2 in Pharmacy Advisory (or equivalent, e.g., partial MPharm qualification) ✅ Valid UK right-to-work status (no sponsorship available) ✅ Right to live and work indefinitely in the UK

Desired Experience

🟢 Experience in community pharmacy (preferred but not mandatory)
