Role: Dispensing Assistant

Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Salary: £13.65 per hour
Contract type: Permanent
Employment type: Part Time
Working hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm

As a Dispensing Assistant, you'll play a vital role within our Clinical Operations team, supporting the safe and efficient dispensing of prescriptions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You'll work closely with pharmacists and colleagues across the business to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, quality standards are maintained and patients receive the excellent service they expect.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Dispensing Assistant looking to join an innovative healthcare business while working fully remotely.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the dispensing of prescriptions within a busy, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately and within agreed service levels.
  • Assist the Clinical team with day-to-day dispensing activities.
  • Take ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy.
  • Follow all Pharmacy2U dispensing procedures and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Services, Purchasing, Operations and Pharmacists.
  • Meet individual and team productivity targets.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical and professional pharmacy standards.
  • Help create a positive, supportive and enjoyable team environment.
  • Always put patient safety and quality first.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is organised, accurate and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail really matters.

You'll have:

  • NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Assistant qualification (essential).
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a pharmacy or similarly regulated environment.
  • Experience working accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good IT skills, including intermediate Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • A genuine patient-first mindset and commitment to delivering excellent service.
