Summary Of Role
As a Dispensary Operations Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the veterinary and dispensary teams, helping to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the Dispensing Veterinary Surgeon and wider operational team, the role is primarily responsible for managing outstanding prescription queries by liaising with veterinary practices via telephone and email to obtain missing/incorrect information, clarify prescription details and resolve discrepancies.

The role acts as a key link between veterinary practices, customer care and dispensary teams, helping to maintain timely and compliant prescription processing. In addition, the Dispensary Operations Assistant may provide support to the Customer Care team when required, including assigning medications to orders, uploading prescriptions.
With a strong focus on accuracy, communication and teamwork, the role contributes to maintaining high standards of customer service, operational efficiency and compliance across all prescription-related activities.
Shift Pattern
20 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
09:00 – 13:00
Please note – we are offering this role on a fully remote basis.
Experience And Skills Required
- Relevant qualification of a UK Practising RCVS register (Nurse And/or SQP).
- Relevant SQP qualification.
- Experience in dispensing prescription medication.
- Customer-centric view on handling customer queries.
- Good understanding of a modern retail operations.
- Knowledge of the range of VMD-licenced medicinal products.
- A pro-active self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude and collaborative nature.
