Join Our Friendly Independent Practice
Classic Eyes, part of the Hakim Group, is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Dispensing Optician to join our welcoming team. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding patient care, expert optical advice, and a personalised experience within a modern independent practice environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Dispensing Optician who enjoys building strong patient relationships and working as part of a supportive and professional team.
About Us
We are a committed independent, dedicated to providing our patients with high-quality care and an exceptional experience in practice.
Our team includes IP registered Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians, a Vision Therapist, and highly trained Optical assistants to support our clinics across the 2 practices.
We deliver specialist services such as Dry-Eye treatments and vision therapy as well as Individualised spectacle lens solutions.
Although predominantly based at our Poole practice, there may be occasions to work at Bournemouth. The job role requires you to work Saturdays.

The Role
As a Dispensing Optician at Classic Eyes, you will:
- Provide expert dispensing advice tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and needs
- Recommend suitable frames, lenses, and optical products
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey
- Support patients with frame styling and lens options
- Ensure accurate fittings and adjustments
- Work closely with the Optometrist and wider practice team
- Maintain high clinical and customer care standards
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified and registered Dispensing Optician
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for patient care and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness with a customer-first approach
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Positive, professional, and approachable manner
Working Pattern
- Part-time or full-time considered, ideally across both practices in Poole and Bournemouth
- Saturday working is required as part of the role
- Flexible working options may be discussed for the right candidate
