Dispensing Optician

Dispensing Optician – Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will provide a high level of customer care and deliver expert advice to enhance our customers' experience and ensure they return.

You will work within one of our stores, reporting directly to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support in-store for regulated dispensing
  • Inspire and mentor the Optical team by sharing Expert knowledge to deliver top-tier service
  • Listen carefully to customers’ needs and offer specialist advice tailored to their requirements
  • Assist customers in selecting the correct eyewear, ensuring the best quality product suited to their needs
  • Support the team in maintaining an efficient operational workflow, adhering to legal business practices
  • Offer expert guidance to patients with specialist requirements

What You’ll Need

Must-haves:

  • Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) upon GOC requirements

Nice-to-haves:

  • Ability to embrace new technologies
