Dispensing Optician – Job Description
About the Role
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will deliver an exceptional level of customer care and professional expertise to help our customers achieve the best possible vision solutions, ensuring they return for their ongoing needs. Your role involves supporting our stores, reporting directly to the Store Manager, and working closely with our Optical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support in-store for regulated dispensing, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Inspire and guide your Optical team by sharing expert knowledge to deliver outstanding service.
- Listen to customer needs and offer personalised advice and expertise in selecting the right eyewear.
- Assist customers in choosing the best eyespectacles and lenses tailored to their prescription and lifestyle.
- Support the team in maintaining an efficient operational model, adhering to legal and business standards.
- Provide specialised guidance for patients with complex or additional requirements.

Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD), completing mandatory training as required by the GOC.
(Nice-to-haves: Ability to adopt and adapt to new technologies.)
