Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wokingham for a Dispensing Optician. The Dispensing Optician will interpret prescriptions from optometrists, advise clients on lens types, coatings, and frame options, and ensure accurate measurements and fittings. Daily tasks include:

The successful candidate will help create a welcoming environment and ensure every client leaves with comfortable, well-fitted eyewear.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of optics and practical understanding of lens types, materials, and fittings.
- Experience in customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction in a retail or clinical setting.
- Background in optometry support, including familiarity with prescriptions and collaboration with eye care professionals.
- Ability to assist with eye exams workflow and explain eye health recommendations clearly to clients.
- Recognized qualification as a Dispensing Optician (or equivalent), with registration where required.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional, approachable manner.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple clients, and using practice management systems.
- Previous experience in an optical practice or eyewear retail setting is highly beneficial.
