As a Dispensing Store Manager, you’ll lead a close-knit team, creating a positive and supportive culture where everyone feels valued, developed and empowered to do their best. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Dispensing Store Manager, you’ll bring energy, leadership and purpose to your store – creating a brilliant experience for customers, patients and your team. You’ll lead the way, delivering strong performance and building a team that’s passionate about care, and backed by Boots.
You Will
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service and drive store performance
- Own sales and operational performance, with the customer always at the heart
- Build strong relationships with GP surgeries, primary care networks and actively engage with the local community
- Deliver a range of NHS and private services, and offer expert healthcare advice to customers
- Ensure store standards, compliance and operational excellence are consistently met.
- Champion the Boots brand and make your store stand out
- Get to know your people – what motivates them, and what needs to change
- Coach your team and create a culture where everyone can thrive
- Be bold, try new things and use feedback, data and insights to look for ways to improve every day

What You’ll Need To Have (our Must-haves)
- Retail management experience and strong commercial awareness
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a dispensary
- Great customer service skills and a passion for delivering care
- Proven ability to lead performance and implement strategy in-store
- A calm, flexible approach with the confidence to adapt at pace
- A collaborative style and the ability to build both a strong team culture and profitable external relationships
- Passion for learning and a drive to support others to grow
It would be great if you also have
- Confidence using new technology and digital tools

As a Dispensing Store Manager, you’ll be perfectly placed to build your leadership capability and take the next step – whether that’s moving into a larger or more complex store, stepping up into a Deputy General Manager role or making the move to one of our flagship locations.
If your passion lies in Pharmacy, you can continue to build your clinical expertise, including training to become an Independent Prescriber, explore roles in Care Services supporting vulnerable patients, or move into Pharmacy Field positions that influence operations, resourcing, and clinical governance across multiple stores.
For those looking to move to our Nottingham Support Office, there are opportunities to shape the future of pharmacy through developing services, maintaining clinical standards, and supporting colleague development or make a lateral move into other areas such as Commercial, HR, Marketing, Buying, Supply Chain, Strategy, Finance, Pharmacy and Governance.
