Store Manager – Boots Pharmacy (Smaller Stores)

Are you an experienced retail manager who leads with care, takes pride in helping others, and knows how to bring a team together?

At Boots, our smaller Pharmacy stores are at the heart of their communities. Guided by our purpose of "With you. For life.", you’ll support our customers and colleagues through the moments that matter most.

You’ll get to know your customers by name and build genuine relationships. Whether they’re picking up everyday essentials or seeking clear, expert healthcare advice, you’ll work with your team to create an exceptional, trusted environment.

Boots is constantly evolving—bringing new brands, healthcare services, and innovations into stores. You’ll play a key role in bringing these to life in a way that resonates with your local community.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you’ll lead a close-knit team, fostering a positive culture where everyone thrives—while driving operational excellence, retail leadership, and pharmacy expertise.

Why This Role?

This is your opportunity to combine:

  • Retail leadership with pharmacy expertise
  • Customer care and community engagement
  • Commercial ownership with a genuine impact on people’s lives

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Area Manager, this hands-on leadership role requires energy, direction, and a commitment to both care and sales excellence. You’ll get involved on the shop floor, in the dispensary, and every other aspect of the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service
  • Drive sales and operational performance while maintaining customer care standards
  • Build strong relationships with GP surgeries, primary care networks, and engage actively with the local community
  • Deliver NHS and private healthcare services safely, providing trusted, expert advice
  • Manage and maintain efficient dispensary operations, with strict attention to detail
  • Champion the Boots brand and ensure your store stands out in the community
  • Understand your team’s motivations and development needs, coaching them to progress in confidence and skill
  • Foster a bold, innovative culture—using data and insights to continuously improve
  • Be present, supportive, and adaptable in all store operations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
