Job title: Display Planner
Location: London Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Contract: 9-Month Initial Contract (Potential Extension)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Display Planner to join a high-performing team within the Space, Range & Display (SRD) function, supporting one of the UK's most established retail food businesses.
This opportunity has arisen due to a key team member leaving the business, combined with increased demand across a significant transformation programme. As a result, we're seeking a hands-on Display Planning professional who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced environment, take ownership of categories, and help ensure continuity across critical planning activities.
Working within a team of 12–15 specialists, you'll play a key role in shaping how products are presented across a network of more than 570 Food Halls, translating commercial strategies into effective, customer-focused planograms that deliver both operational efficiency and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Display Planning & Planogram Development
- Create, maintain and optimise planograms across assigned product categories.
- Deliver end-to-end display planning activities aligned to commercial objectives.
- Translate range and category strategies into executable shelf layouts.
- Ensure planograms support customer shopping missions, display principles and operational requirements.
- Manage range change activity in line with trading and implementation calendars.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
