The Opportunity

We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor or CILEX (1-5 year of PQE) to join our Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified solicitor or someone in the early stages of their post-qualification career to develop their expertise across a varied and high-quality caseload within a supportive and collaborative team.

About The Dispute Resolution Team

Our Dispute Resolution team is recognised for delivering high-quality advice across a broad range of contentious matters. We act for businesses, developers, investors, partnerships, landlords, tenants, and private individuals, and we pride ourselves on providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused support. You will work closely with experienced colleagues on complex and interesting matters while building your own confidence, technical ability, and client relationships.

The Role

Your work will include a wide range of commercial and general civil litigation as well as property disputes. You will work with partners in the team as well as manage your own developing caseload with appropriate supervision and contribute to the wider success of the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with and progressively manage a varied caseload of commercial, general and property litigation matters.
  • Advise on disputes including breach of contract, commercial disputes, construction disputes and property disputes.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements, and legal notices.
  • Prepare bundles, instructions to counsel, and attend at hearings and mediations.
  • Maintain regular client contact and provide clear, practical updates and advice.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the firm where disputes arise from wider commercial or property matters.
  • Support business development activities, including networking, marketing initiatives, and profile-raising opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with legal developments and procedural requirements, including the Civil Procedure Rules.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
