We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Disrepair Operative to join a reputable contractor delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services for housing associations throughout Reading, Slough, Oxford, High Wycombe, Luton, and Bedfordshire.
The role will focus on completing legal disrepair works and general maintenance repairs within occupied residential properties. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of multi-skilled tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, decorating, patch repairs, and other associated building works.

Responsibilities
- Carrying out legal disrepair inspections, remedial works, and maintenance repairs within occupied residential properties, ensuring issues are resolved to the required standards.
- Completing a range of multi-trade repair works associated with disrepair cases, including plumbing repairs, carpentry, plaster patching, decorating, tiling, and general building maintenance.
- Investigating and rectifying property defects, including leaks, water damage, damaged fixtures, defective finishes, and other repairs identified through disrepair claims.
- Undertaking small repair projects and remedial works from start to completion, ensuring properties are returned to a safe, functional, and habitable condition.
- Liaising professionally and courteously with tenants, residents, and housing association representatives, providing excellent customer service while minimizing disruption during works.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed works, materials used, and any additional repairs required using a PDA or handheld device.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (required)
- Asbestos Awareness, UKATA or IATP
- Basic DBS Check
