Role Description

The Distribution Driver role is a full-time self-employed position, working away in different locations around the UK. The Distribution Driver is responsible for safely operating distribution trucks to deliver, collect, and exchange waste containers according to daily schedules and project requirements. The role involves direct interaction with clients and site contacts to confirm deliveries, address basic inquiries, and ensure a professional service experience. The Distribution Driver also collaborates with depot and logistics teams to report issues, coordinate schedules, and support efficient roll-out programs.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills and experience operating a 3.5t truck or similar commercial vehicle.
  • Candidates should possess a valid full driving licence.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with depot teams and external clients.
  • Candidates should possess customer service skills to represent the company professionally on-site and during deliveries.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct basic vehicle and load checks, and comply with transport regulations.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including loading and unloading containers, in varying weather conditions.
  • Previous experience in distribution, logistics, or waste management operations is beneficial.
  • Reliable time management, attention to detail with documentation, and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
