Role Location, Hours & Flexibility
Location: Belfast Schedule: Mon-Fri, 48 hours per week Flexibility Required: Yes
About the Role
We are looking for a professional Driver/Operator to:
- Safely load, transport, and deliver cargo in line with customer requirements and legal standards
- Inspect goods while ensuring confirmed documentation, maintaining communication with the operations team, and customers
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hazardous goods regulations, including IMDG/ADR compliance
- Operate vehicles legally, safely, and responsibly, keeping up-to-date tachograph and driver documentation
- Ensure quality, safety, and accuracy, meeting tight deadlines independently
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely loading, transferring, and unloading cargo, ensuring no damage occurs
- Performing vehicle inspections to ensure safety, roadworthiness, and suitability for loading
- Completing accurate, real-time paperwork and system updates, including any discrepancies or damages
- Following administrative procedures and maintaining timely, accurate records
- Complying with all legislation for cargo types, including hazardous goods
- Promptly reporting vehicle faults and verifying repairs before use
- Maintaining high standards of security, quality, and cleanliness
- Updating collection and delivery information in internal systems while reporting deviations

Responsibilities
- Maintain service accuracy and clients’ standards through careful cargo handling
- Complete necessary documentation and real-time system updates
- Adhere to health, safety, and hazardous materials regulations (IMDG/ADR)
- Record vehicle flaw checks, guarantee compliance, and make corrections before usage starts
- Demonstrate safe, legal, and accountable vehicle driving skills
- Ensure noxious goods labels, tachographs, and vehicle compliance documentation are readily available
- Maintain top security, quality control and cleanliness standards
- Fully update materials with collection delivery schedules and inform the operations team about any variations
Requirements
- Valid C Licence (Essential)
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- ADR certification (Advantageous)
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends
- Fluent level of written and spoken English
- High level of attention to detail with strong accuracy
- Ability to work independently
