Job Description
Route Planner
Annual Salary: £41,000 plus a great range of benefits
Working Hours: Sunday - Thursday (Shift Patterns to be discussed)
Hours per Week: 45 Hours
About the Role
Great opportunity for an experienced Route Planner to join our distribution and logistics team at our Fresh Direct site in Bicester. You will be joining a small team that keep our network running, ensuring we deliver an exceptional level of service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all routes are optimised so that operational targets are achieved.
- Utilize planning and organisational skills to adapt and deal with unexpected issues.
- Communicate effectively and timely with all stakeholders.
- Balance the needs of drivers, customers, and account managers.
- Review and refine delivery schedules for maximum efficiency.
- Analyse data from various systems and sources to identify areas for future improvements.
Requirements
- Experienced planner with a good knowledge of the area.
- Good understanding of driver working time.
- Experience using transport planning software.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience of SAP would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Enthusiastic, can-do attitude with logical thinking.
