Job Description 32 hours per week Salary:£36,540 Shift : Monday to Thursday , 10am to 6pm Bicester, Oxfordshire Opportunity for an experienced leader in transport operations to join the team as Distribution Shift Manager at our Fresh Direct (a Sysco company) depot in Bicester, Oxfordshire, on a permanent basis. You'll play a key role in a dynamic and fast-paced distribution environment taking charge of night shift ensuring our team consistently perform to the highest possible standards. From day one, you’ll be at the heart of our transport operation, overseeing driver performance, maintaining compliance with all legislative and company requirements, and driving initiatives that improve efficiency and service levels. As a strong people leader, you’ll work closely with the Distribution Manager to develop and inspire a high-performing team of drivers and 4 administration colleagues. You’ll be responsible not only for managing costs and staying within budget, but also for cultivating a positive and professional working environment; where colleagues feel valued, supported, and motivated to deliver excellence. Health, safety, compliance, and customer service standards will be your top priorities. By leading from the front, you’ll ensure our operation runs smoothly, safely, and effectively. This role is both challenging and rewarding, offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact every day. We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of transport legislation and operational requirements. Ideally, you’ll hold a Management CPC qualification, or be an experienced Leader who is ready to work towards becoming a transport professional.
