Get To Know the Team

Distributor Client Services (DCS) provides a bespoke, end-to-end service to Distributors, Corporate Clients and Nominees, acting as a single point of contact for all operational and servicing needs. The team delivers enhanced turnaround times on enquiries, value-added services and a strong focus on relationship management. The ADS Team (Automated Dealing and Settlement) supports this by handling the oversight and administrative support of electronic transfer of assets, shareclass conversions & supporting EMX and Calastone dealing, CREST and Calastone Settlement, and ISA transfer and electronic stock reregistration via Equisoft. Our oversight services cover from 8am to 8pm Monday-Friday and the team work on a rota basis to cover these operating hours.

We offer hybrid working after completion of all necessary training.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure SS&C consistently meets client expectations in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform and evidence all required daily controls and monitoring for Straight Through Processing (STP) order routing, settlement, electronic re-registration and share class conversions.
  • Complete all dealing and settlement control activities accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Maintain reconciliation oversight for all STP settlement functions, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and wider departments while also operating independently, ensuring all aspects of oversight, controls and service delivery are consistently covered.
  • Handle STP-related enquiries via email, telephone and webchat, providing accurate, timely and professional responses.
  • Update STP systems to reflect all relevant corporate action events.
  • Act as an escalation point for nominee-related service issues, managing investigations, resolutions and ongoing communications with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of monitored systems and their interdependencies with other teams, proactively managing issues that may impact business areas.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to both internal and external stakeholders, including clients.
  • Review and maintain procedures, documentation and system information to ensure content remains accurate and up to date.
  • Actively seek and respond to feedback, using service issues as learning opportunities to improve processes, procedures and overall service delivery to Distributor clients.
  • Contribute actively to team and departmental meetings, including sharing updates, schedules and improvement initiatives.
  • Support Team Leaders, Team Managers and other teams as required, adopting a flexible approach to meet business needs.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal requirements, including Data Protection, Financial Crime Prevention and CASS regulations.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accuracy and timeliness, striving for 100% delivery standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively propose changes where individual or team performance may be affected.
  • Act as a role model by adhering to SS&C policies and procedures and promoting continuous improvement across Distributor Client Services.
  • Exercise due care and diligence to ensure responsibilities are delivered in a well-controlled, organised and risk-aware manner.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role and the employee’s skills and experience.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

  • Knowledge/understanding/experience of working in Financial Services.
  • Able to use the standard office applications - Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute positively to shared objectives and support colleagues within a high-volume operational environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgement and accountability to ensure oversight requirements are met and issues are identified and resolved proactively.
