District Manager
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a District Manager based in United Kingdom.
This role is a dynamic leadership opportunity overseeing a multi-brand retail portfolio across a defined region. You will be responsible for driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and a consistently elevated customer experience across all stores within your district. Acting as the key link between store teams and headquarters, you will translate strategy into execution while ensuring strong alignment with brand standards and business objectives. You will lead and develop Store Managers, fostering a high-performance, people-first culture built on accountability, coaching, and engagement. The role requires a strong balance of analytical thinking and hands-on leadership, with frequent store visits and direct field involvement. This is a high-impact position where your leadership directly shapes store performance, team development, and overall brand success in the region.
Accountabilities
- Lead Store Managers across the district to achieve sales, profitability, and KPI targets through performance analysis and execution of action plans.
- Translate commercial data into clear, actionable insights, linking store performance to behaviors and operational execution.
- Conduct regular store visits focused on coaching, performance evaluation, and ensuring consistent execution of retail standards.
- Drive recovery plans for underperforming stores, providing hands-on support to restore and sustain performance.
- Ensure strong brand execution across all stores, including visual merchandising, product storytelling, and customer experience standards.
- Oversee new store openings and support recruitment of store leadership and key retail talent.
- Ensure consistent execution of marketing campaigns and brand initiatives across all locations.
- Monitor customer experience metrics and implement improvement plans across the district.
- Act as the primary link between stores and headquarters, ensuring effective communication of priorities and strategy.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Health & Safety, and Asset Protection teams to ensure compliance and operational integrity.

Requirements
- Proven experience in multi-store or district-level retail management roles.
- Strong track record of delivering commercial results and improving store performance across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on coaching, team development, and performance management.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with solid business acumen.
- Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and fast-paced retail environments while maintaining execution excellence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across store teams and senior leadership.
- High level of accountability, resilience, and organizational capability.
- Willingness to travel frequently (around 80% including overnight travel).
- Fluency in English; residence within the assigned region required.
