District Sales Manager
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a District Sales Manager based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow a high-performing sales team while driving commercial success across the French and BeNeLux regions. You will develop regional strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and support scientific organizations with innovative solutions in the life sciences sector.
The position combines sales leadership, team development, strategic planning, and hands-on customer engagement. You will work in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious revenue and business objectives.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced sales leader with a strong scientific background and a passion for building successful teams. You will play a key role in expanding market presence, improving customer experiences, and accelerating adoption of advanced research technologies.
Accountabilities:
As a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading regional sales activities, developing commercial strategies, and managing a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue targets. You will combine strong leadership skills with scientific expertise and customer-focused strategies to drive sustainable growth across the assigned territories.
- Develop, implement, and monitor district business plans aligned with revenue targets and strategic objectives.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and support the regional sales team to achieve performance goals and customer growth objectives.
- Establish territory quotas and manage quarterly and annual sales plans.
- Forecast, monitor, and control sales performance, customer demand, and regional expenses.
- Ensure sales teams achieve targets while providing guidance, feedback, and development plans when needed.
- Build and manage strategic sales plans and activities across the assigned regions.
- Develop strong knowledge of next-generation sequencing and multiomics markets to support commercial strategies.
- Drive accountability and a high-performance culture within the sales organization.
- Recruit, develop, retain, and manage sales talent to strengthen regional capabilities.
- Coordinate technical, sales, and administrative training initiatives for the team.
- Monitor team performance using established sales management tools and provide ongoing coaching.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Service, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting information, and sales activity reporting.
- Promote exceptional customer experiences by ensuring customer needs are addressed and continuously improving processes.

Requirements:
You are an experienced sales leader with a strong background in life sciences and a proven ability to develop teams, manage complex sales cycles, and achieve commercial objectives. You combine strategic thinking, scientific knowledge, and strong relationship-building skills to deliver measurable business results.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in life sciences, laboratory environments, sales, or related customer-facing roles.
- Proven experience leading and developing sales teams in a technical or scientific environment.
- Strong understanding of genetics, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing technologies.
- Demonstrated success developing strategic sales plans and growing key customer accounts.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in team-based sales environments.
- Strong commercial drive and motivation to achieve ambitious sales goals.
- Ability to analyze market opportunities and translate insights into effective strategies.
- Fluency in French and English required; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required to support customer needs.
