Eton Bridge Partners have exclusively partnered with an industry-leading organisation providing critical environmental and infrastructure services is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join its senior leadership team within their Municipal Services Division.
This is a high-profile role with responsibility for a business unit, partnering closely with operational and commercial leaders to drive performance, sustainable growth, and strategic decision-making.
The Opportunity
You will lead all aspects of financial strategy, reporting, planning, governance, and commercial performance across a complex operational environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Driving financial performance and operational value creation
- Supporting major contract bids, negotiations, and mobilisation activities
- Managing risk, governance, audit, and regulatory compliance
- Building strong relationships with public sector and commercial stakeholders
- Leading and developing a high-performing finance team of around 40 professionals

About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant with significant senior finance leadership experience gained in sectors such as infrastructure, utilities, environmental services, outsourced services, or other operationally intensive businesses.
You will bring:
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen
- Experience of complex long-term contracts (PFI/PPP experience advantageous)
- A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving business performance
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills
- Experience leading sizeable finance teams within multi-site operations
