Divisional Managing Director

Managing Director - Building Access Services (BAS)

Part of PTSG

Location: Northwest

Lead the future of one of the UK's leading specialist service divisions.

As Divisional Managing Director of Building Access Services (BAS), you'll lead a portfolio of specialist businesses including NSS, Pendrich, and HD Sharman. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and commercial performance across the Division while leading over 650 employees through an experienced senior leadership team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for the BAS Division.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing Senior Leadership Team across multiple specialist businesses.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Champion a culture where health, safety, and quality are embedded in everything we do.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and Group colleagues.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and support future acquisition and integration activities.
  • Ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement across the Division.
  • Drive collaboration, standardisation, and best practice across all businesses.
  • Deliver strong financial performance through effective planning, forecasting, and business reviews.

About You

You're an accomplished executive with a proven track record of leading large, multi-site service businesses. Commercially astute and strategically minded, you're passionate about developing people, driving operational excellence, building high-performing teams, and delivering sustainable growth.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within a multi-site or field service environment.
  • A proven ability to lead large operational teams through senior managers.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with full P&L responsibility.
  • Experience delivering growth, operational improvement, and strategic change.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at Board level.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
  • Experience within testing, inspection, compliance, engineering, building services, or another technical service environment would be highly advantageous.
  • The emotional intelligence to develop people, build culture, and lead through change.
