About the Role
We are seeking a dividional-quality-driven professional to lead and enhance our Quality Management Systems (QMS) within the Environment & Safety Division. This role is pivotal in ensuring we meet ISO 9001, UKAS, and MCERTS standards, driving compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across all operations.
As the Divisional Quality Manager, you will:
- Develop & manage systematic frameworks for quality reporting, KPI tracking, and performance evaluation.
- Champion a culture of quality through audits, training, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with senior teams to align quality processes with business objectives.
- Develop auditing frameworks and improve lean methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma/Lean).
- Support risk-based decision-making to bolster health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Influence and drive operational excellence across a growing division.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
- Lead and maintain Division-wide quality under:
- ISO 9001
- UKAS Accreditation
- MCERTS certification
- SOCOTEC UK policies
- Ensure full adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.
- Develop and oversee performance metrics to track and exceed KPI targets.
Continuous Improvement & Auditing
- Introduce and implement quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute internal audits, training programs, and management reviews to identify improvement areas.
- Support the development of lean methodologies and quality improvement projects.
Stakeholder Engagement & Culture
- Work closely with senior management teams to promote best practices.
- Foster a customer-focused, risk-aware culture throughout the division.
- Strengthen collaboration across functions to drive collective performance gains.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- A degree in a scientific, technical, or business discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality-focused role (preferably in ISO compliance environments).
- Proven track record in auditing, policy development, or quality management.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrable leadership experience in a technical or quality-focused environment.
Desirable
- Experience working with ISO 17025 or ISO-accredited laboratories.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (training provided if required).
- Ability to influence and drive culture change in high-performance teams.
- Confidence presenting to and engaging with senior leadership.
