Our business is growing, and as such we are on the search for a career driven Operations Manager for Nights based at our site in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager within a transport/logistics background. If this is you, we would love to show you this extremely exciting opportunity.

Pay, Benefits And More

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £47,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • To manage the performance of the operational teams on site across all shifts, and to ensure behavioral standards are met at all times
  • To monitor and ensure compliance with all XPO processes and policies
  • To lead a safety culture on site and actively participate in all QSHE meetings and initiatives.
  • To foster an effective working relationship with all colleagues and representatives on site
  • To provide leadership and development opportunities for those colleagues that wish to further their career within XPO
  • To be accountable for service and operational expenditure across Transport & Warehouse functions

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

Essential

  • Managerial experience within the transport / logistics sector
  • Strong people management skills
  • High attention to detail - process driven
  • Transport / logistics compliance and H&S knowledge.
  • Financial understanding - awareness of cost control/cost drivers
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Self-motivated but also works well within a team.
