What You’ll Do As a DLP Analyst

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Monitoring and responding to DLP alerts, conducting detailed investigations to assess risk, impact, and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
  • Coordinating with Service Desk and support teams to review, justify, and unblock restricted emails or uploads while ensuring compliance and conducting due diligence.
  • Maintaining accurate records of DLP events, ensuring proper tracking, auditability, and timely documentation of incidents.
  • Creating regular DLP reports on incidents, trends, and risk exposure, engaging with business stakeholders to support effective resolution.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Security, IT, and Data Governance, serving as a key liaison between Operations, Policy Owners, and Platform Owners.
  • Analysing trends and recurring issues to recommend improvements, support policy tuning, enhance data classification initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in data protection processes.

What You’ll Bring

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued—so please bring your authentic self, along with some key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in DLP operations, incident management, or information security, with strong analytical and investigative capabilities to assess and resolve data security events.
  • Solid understanding of DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and discovery technologies (experience with Collibra is a plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of structured and unstructured data protection challenges, including risks from data transfers, email security, and endpoint controls.
  • Technical awareness of:
    • DLP policies and enforcement mechanisms
    • Enterprise IT environments and ticketing systems
    • Compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across Operations, Support, and Governance teams.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-volume workloads (~40 hours/week) while ensuring thorough documentation and auditability.
