The Role: DLP Analyst

What You’ll Do

You’ll thrive in a stimulating environment where continuous development is encouraged.

  • Monitor and respond to DLP (Data Loss Prevention) alerts, conducting detailed investigations to assess risk, impact, and appropriate remediation actions.
  • Coordinate with Service Desk and support teams to review, justify, and unblock restricted emails or uploads while ensuring compliance and due diligence.
  • Maintain accurate records of DLP events, ensuring proper tracking, auditability, and timely documentation of incidents.
  • Produce regular reporting on DLP incidents, trends, and risk exposure — engaging with business stakeholders to support effective resolution.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams (including Security, IT, and Data Governance) as a key liaison between Operations, Policy Owners, and Platform Owners.
  • Analyse trends and recurring issues to:
    • Recommend improvements
    • Support policy tuning
    • Enhance data classification initiatives
    • Drive continuous improvement in data protection processes

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in DLP operations, incident management, or information security, with exceptional** analytical and investigative capabilities** to assess and resolve data security incidents.
  • Strong working knowledge of DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and discovery technologies—experience with platforms like Collibra is beneficial.
  • Expertise in structured and unstructured data protection challenges, particularly:
    • Risks tied to data transfers
    • Email security
    • Endpoint controls
  • In-depth awareness of DLP policies, enforcement mechanisms, enterprise IT environments, and ticketing systems, alongside compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ensuring seamless coordination across Operations, Support, and Governance teams.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing a high-volume workload (up to 40 hours/week) across investigations, incident coordination, and business enablement. Ensure thorough documentation and auditability.
