Document Controller
Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Document Controller to join an engineering project team based on-site in Blyth. This role is ideal for someone organised, detail-oriented, and confident in handling documentation throughout a project lifecycle. You’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance, accurate record-keeping, and smooth information flow across the project.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project document control systems and registers
- Record, track, distribute, and archive project documentation accurately
- Manage the flow of correspondence, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Ensure correct document revision control and remove obsolete documents from circulation
- Distribute new engineering and construction drawings to relevant stakeholders
- Support project teams by retrieving documents and preparing reports
- Assist with handover documentation and completion packs
- Oversee site records, inductions, and administrative requirements

Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, Project Administrator, or Technical Administrator
- Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil & gas, renewables, or industrial projects
- Competence with electronic document management systems (EDMS)
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of document numbering systems, revision control, and workflows
- Qualification in Business Administration, Document Control, or a related field
- Experience producing project handover packs and technical submissions
