Document Controller - Blyth, United Kingdom
We are currently seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for supporting the management and control of all project documentation, ensuring information is accurately recorded, distributed, and maintained in line with project and company requirements.
Requirements
- Support the document control function across the project lifecycle
- Maintain document control systems, processes, and procedures
- Ensure all project documentation is accurately recorded, distributed, and filed
- Control the issuance and tracking of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure timely document flow
- Maintain document registers, logs, and trackers ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Perform quality checks on documentation to ensure compliance with company standards
- Manage document revisions and ensure the latest versions are available to all stakeholders
- Support QA/QC processes by ensuring documentation is controlled and traceable
- Assist in preparing and issuing reports on document status and outstanding items
- Ensure proper storage, archiving, and retrieval of project documentation
- Attend project meetings as required to support document management activities
- Identify and report document control issues to senior team members

Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or similar discipline
- Minimum 2 - 4 years' experience in a document control role within construction or engineering
- Experience supporting document control processes on construction projects
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Viewpoint or similar)
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and develop within a document control function
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
