Our client is an award-winning 5* developer with numerous developments across North London and the surrounding counties. With multiple sites in the pipeline, alongside a number of live developments, they are looking to appoint a driven and detail-oriented Document Controller to join the team and help manage the growing workload.

Working alongside a well-respected Technical Lead, this is an excellent opportunity for a Project/Site Administrator looking to take the next step in their career or for an established Document Controller keen to further develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Management: Distribute and maintain accurate records of all project documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • EDMS Administration: Oversee the daily running of the internal Electronic Document Management System (Asite), ensuring all items are correctly classified, named, version-controlled, and quality-checked.
  • Workflow Monitoring: Monitor workflow progress and assist Technical Managers in identifying delays or bottlenecks in document reviews and approvals.
  • Reporting: Generate regular progress reports on document uploads, approvals, outstanding reviews, workflow status, and raised forms, highlighting any delivery risks.
  • System Support: Support the implementation of workflows, forms, and the Field Tool across current and future projects, providing system support and troubleshooting to internal users.
  • Training & Compliance: Assist in coordinating and delivering training sessions for internal teams and external consultants to ensure compliance with document management processes.
  • Project Handover: Support the final collation of all As-Built records and project close-out documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work alongside the Information Manager to audit processes, implement best-practice strategies, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency.

  • Proven experience working as a Document Controller within the construction or housebuilding sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) -experience with Asite or similar platforms is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of workflow management, version control, and document quality-checking procedures.
  • Able to work collaboratively with project teams, site managers, and external consultants.
  • Close attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
