Document Controller
Building a sustainable tomorrow
BAM is currently recruiting for a Document Controller position to work on an EA CDF Project, Dutch River. Dutch River is an earthworks project, raising and widening existing flood embankments in and around the Goole area.
The project duration is approximately 18 months and the day-to-day work will involve setting up and checking GPS guided machines, quality records and safety paperwork.
This role can be based at either our Leeds office or our Hull office.
Making Possible
As Document Controller, you will be responsible for the following:
- Establish and maintain computer and paper-based document filing systems.
- Review and distribute documents in line with agreed departmental procedures.
- Maintain accurate computer and paper-based records, logging distributed documents.
- Process responses to documents issued.
- Chase responses to documents issued where required.
- Administer requests for information.
- Conduct periodic archiving.
- Provide support to all users of the CDE to ensure processes and standards are being adhered to.
- Work with the other Document Controllers to ensure document control procedures are kept up to date and any changes are driven out to the teams.
- Build relationships with Document Controllers from our supply chain and Client to support collaborative working.
- Remain up to date with all company policies and procedures, industry legislation and guidance applicable to your subject field.

What do you bring to the role?
- Experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE), i.e. Forma, ACC, BIM360, Aconex, ViewPoint for Projects.
- An understanding of ISO 19650 and how it is applied to projects is desirable, training will be provided where required.
- Successful experience of working in document control, preferably within the construction industry (highways/rail/energy etc).
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating IT systems, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
