Document Controller
Document Controller
Department: Planning Location: UK-wide
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our project team, focused on supporting the effective management, control, and distribution of project documentation. This role will be based in either our London or Glasgow office and requires collaboration with internal/external stakeholders to optimise information flow and ensure project compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation
- Ensure cross-team accessibility of critical project-related information
- Provide support for As-Built drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and handover documentation
- Manage document workflows via ACC/Viewpoint, including:
- Uploading, categorising, and tracking artefacts
- Monitoring status reports and performance KPIs
- Support Health & Safety documentation, including Method Statements and Lift Plans, complying with internal procedures and external audit requirements
- Offer general administrative assistance to the Project Team as needed
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members

Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Document Controller or in a comparable function
- Construction/on-site industry experience (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills & meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., ACC/Viewpoint)
- Clear communication & proactive collaboration
- Understanding of:
- Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Project handover processes
- BIM (Building Information Modelling) and digital construction methodologies
- Commercial awareness and regulatory compliance
- Full UK driving licence (mandatory for site visits)
