Document Controller
Document Controller – Construction Industry
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and distributing project documentation, ensuring all records remain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company and project procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exceptional organisation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Upload, distribute, and file drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Ensure all project documents are accurately recorded, version-controlled, and up-to-date
- Monitor document revisions and issue the latest versions to the project team
- Maintain document registers, trackers, and filing systems
- Liaise with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding project documentation
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence
- Archive completed project documentation in line with company procedures
- Ensure document control processes are followed throughout the project
- Support the project team with general administrative duties as needed

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Document Controller, preferably within the construction industry
- Right to work in the UK
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience using document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, 4Projects) is preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of construction documentation and project processes is desirable
