The Opportunity
The energy sector is undergoing a dynamic transformation—driven by increasing demand, evolving regulations, ambitious carbon reduction goals, and rapid technological innovation. This is an exciting time to be part of an industry shaping a more sustainable and resilient future.
If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact, this is your opportunity to join a growing Energy team at the forefront of change. We are looking for a Document Controller to support high-profile, complex projects across the UK, including work with major clients such as National Grid.
About The Role
As a Document Controller, you will play a central role within our PMO Information Management team, ensuring the effective and secure management of project information within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- You will be responsible for maintaining the flow, accuracy, and accessibility of documentation across projects, supporting teams to work efficiently and in line with industry standards.
- This includes managing the Master Information Delivery Plan, overseeing document approvals within platforms such as SharePoint and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and ensuring that all project information is properly controlled and up to date.
- Your role will also involve handling sensitive and confidential information with care, ensuring compliance with GDPR, legal privilege requirements, and other regulatory standards.
- In addition, you will support Freedom of Information requests and promote best practices in digital engineering and BIM, aligned with ISO 19650 standards.
This is a key position where your organisation, attention to detail, and technical knowledge will directly support the successful delivery of projects.
Your Impact
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that project teams have access to accurate, reliable, and well-structured information, enabling them to deliver efficiently and with confidence. Your management of documentation and data will help maintain strong governance across projects, reducing risk and supporting compliance with both client and industry requirements.
- By maintaining robust processes within the Common Data Environment, you will facilitate seamless collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, ensuring everyone is working from a single source of truth.
- Your careful handling of sensitive information will help safeguard both the organisation and its clients, while your support for audits and information requests will reinforce transparency and accountability.
- Through your contribution to BIM and digital engineering practices, you will help embed best-in-class information management standards, ultimately improving project performance and supporting the delivery of complex energy infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
