About the Role
Are you a Document Controller with a background in Power, Substations, or Electrical Engineering looking for an exciting, varied technical role in a fast-growing company?
Energy/Transmission Provider is a reputable front-end engineering services provider, specialising in National Grid projects. Since its establishment in 2021, the company has rapidly expanded and is now seeking to grow its friendly, supportive team.
In this central position within a project support team of three, you’ll assist with critical project delivery by:
- Conducting accuracy checks on drawings and documentation packs to ensure compliance and currency
- Updating designs and adding suggested changes using AutoCAD (training provided)
- Editing and maintaining documents via Microsoft Office and distributing them to relevant teams
- Working in an office-based environment with occasional travel across the UK (approx. 4-5 visits/year)

Key Responsibilities
- Providing project support to a tight-knit team of three
- Reviewing and distributing documentation to appropriate teams
- Ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date and accurate
- Checking drawings and packs, making corrections in AutoCAD (with training)
- Operating between Monday-Thursday (8:00am–4:00pm) and Fridays (8:00am–1:00pm) (some flexibility in hours)
Requirements & Qualifications
Ideal Profile:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, Administrator, or Project Support role
- Background in Energy/Transmission/Oil & Gas or closely aligned industries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential); AutoCAD experience a plus (training provided)
- Full UK driving licence and commute equity to Newcastle area (covering Sunderland, Middlesbrough nearby)
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Document Controller/Administrator
- Energy, Transmission or Oil & Gas sector knowledge
- Experience liaising with cross-functional teams on engineering projects
