Document Controller – Façade & Cladding
Location: Redhill, Surrey Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £40,000 per annum + benefits

Position Overview
We require an organised, detail-oriented Document Controller with dedicated experience in the façade and cladding sector to strengthen our elite project delivery team based in Redhill, Surrey. In this role, you will be the backbone of our project information pipeline, guaranteeing seamless management of:
- Architectural drawings
- Technical submittals
- QA checklists
- Compliance data —aligning with our industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management & Distribution
- Oversee logging and distribution of all project documentation (including architectural drawings, structural calculations, cladding data sheets and fabrication details) via Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).

Data Conformance & Organisation
- Enforce strict alignment with company and client naming conventions, revisions and status codes for all project documentation.

RFIs, Submittals & Design Variations
- Track and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), Technical Submittals, and Design Variations, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants to meet project deadlines.

Fieldview Administration
- Serve as the primary user and administrator for Fieldview, managing project templates, digital forms and QA checklists.

Site Data Monitoring
- Monitor and track site-captured data, including:
- Cladding installation progress
- Weatherproofing inspections
- Handover package readiness
- Monitor and track site-captured data, including:

Reporting & Compliance
- Generate regular defect (snagging), quality compliance, and close-out metrics reports from Fieldview for Project Managers.

Façade Compliance
- Maintain acurate records for strict compliance standards, including:
- Fire safety ratings
- Material tracing
- Thermal performance certifications

- As-Built & O&M Documentation
- Compile and deliver comprehensive Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and As-Built documentation for final project handover.
Skills & Experience Required
Industry-Specific Experience (Essential)

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Document Controller specifically in façade, cladding, curtain walling, or architectural glazing sectors.

Demonstrated proficiency in:
- Cladding technical terminology
- Drawing types and standards
- Materials (e.g., rainscreen, unitized curtain walling, stone, composite panels)
Software & Systems (Essential)

Proficient user/administrator of Viewpoint Fieldview for:
- On-site QA processes
- Progress tracking
- Defect and quality management

Familiarity with major tier-1 EDMS platforms such as:
- Aconex, Asite, Procore, Viewpoint For Projects
(This role requires hands-on technical experience in at least one of the above systems.)
