Hybrid working - 3 days on site at Peterhead and 2 days working from home
Initial training period will require travel to the Aberdeen office
By joining our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Document Controller you will be responsible for establishing governance and assuring data and information flow to and from Balfour Beatty (BIM 360 Docs), Client common data environments, and Subcontractor systems.
Key role in providing project related training, support and guidance on using BIM360 to the project engineering team, including subcontractors, the client and designers. The Document Controller will also be liaising with DE Manager on BIM360 project level Quality Audit implementation, operation and record keeping for their project on BIM 360 reports and Power BI Dashboards.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities Include
Work to the Project Information Plan and Asset Information Plan set out at project start up (IM will be identified at this stage) Assist with the set-up of projects in BIM 360 NextGen (folders, users rights, workflows) Assist the Information Manager with the roll out of BIM 360 to newly identified projects and complete support training and visits Assist the Document Control manager with implementation and ongoing use of BIM360 on the project(s) Assist Project Team Members in assembling information for Project Outputs and reporting Enable reliable information exchange through a common data environment Enable integration and co-ordination of information within the Information Model Assure delivery of information exchanges Accept reject information exchanges within the common data environment - ensure compliance with agreed processes and procedures. Validate compliance with information requirements and advise on non-compliance. Liaise with and co-operate with Project Team Members and the Employer in support of a collaborative working culture

Who we're looking for
The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential
Background and understanding of a variety of engineering projects and processes. Demonstrable stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationships skill The following qualities/experience are desirable: Experience using BIM 360 Docs Experience and understanding of site based Operational business processes and practices knowledge of Engineering applications and their associated data structures An awareness of the Utilities / Power / Construction industry.
