Initial 12 month contract

JAB Recruitment is currently sourcing a Document Controller to support a major decommissioning and carbon capture and storage project in Liverpool Bay.

Reporting to the Project Control Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing project documentation in line with established procedures. The role will involve close collaboration with project teams, document control personnel and functional representatives to ensure technical and engineering documentation is accurate, controlled and issued on schedule.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the timely transmission of technical documents, including engineering drawings and progress reports
  • Establish and maintain document control processes, workflows, templates and registers
  • Monitor document submissions, client reviews, approvals and revision status
  • Ensure documentation complies with project procedures and formal quality requirements
  • Maintain master document registers, distribution lists and progress reports
  • Support project organisation, logistics and risk and opportunity management activities
  • Coordinate the preparation and handover of final project documentation
  • Provide guidance and training on document management systems and procedures
  • Support remote project locations and respond to document control queries

  • 8–10 years’ experience managing technical and engineering documentation
  • Previous experience within a construction site, engineering or similar project environment
  • A good understanding of industrial and engineering documentation
  • The ability to recognise the purpose, status and required workflow of different document types
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using electronic document management systems and maintaining document registers
