Job Role: Field Technician / Specialist

Overview

As the face of Siemens, you’ll:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with HVAC, fire/life safety, or security control systems.
  • Install, commission, or maintain electronic systems.
  • Consult with cross-functional teams to improve system performance.

Duties

Installation and Commissioning

  • Install new HVAC/building automation, fire alarm, or surveillance systems with efficiency and precision.
  • Commission systems in line with customer specifications.

Service and Maintenance

  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot system malfunctions.
  • Perform predictive, corrective, and preventive maintenance tailored to customer needs.

Customer & Team Interaction

  • Document service activities accurately.
  • Train end-users, easing future system operations.
  • Recommend upgrades to drive system value—enhancing the customer relationship.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Eligibility criteria must include:

  • Current active military status
  • Mandatory DOD SkillBridge approval
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Experience/knowledge in:
    • Supporting mechanical, electrical, thermodynamical, or hydraulic systems.
    • Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Technical aptitude (research/debugging systems).
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Reliable customer interaction, team collaboration abilities.
  • On-site work with local travel requirements (occasional).
  • Ability to work in the U.S. long-term (permanent visa, no sponsorship).
  • Must be at least 18. Valid driver’s license with minimal violations (if required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military rank E5 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, etc.)
  • Degree: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in relevant fields.
  • Hands-on expertise in energy efficiency, HVAC, building systems preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Energy Manager preferred if applicable.
